My last dinner being 33 was tasty! Tonight, we had hot pot and Korean BBQ! The only down side was that the hot plate didn't get as hot as it should have.
Drink:
Old Fashioned
Not a great accompaniment to this dinner, but wanted one, lol.
Food:
Too much to list here. 😂
My 2 favorites for BBQ were the cumin lamb and spicy beef bulgogi.
For hot pot, I had the miso broth as the base. So good. Does anyone else really like the little sausages? They are so good.
We ate WAY too much. I will be in a food coma for the rest of the night. 😂😴 If you have never tried hot pot and/ or Korean BBQ amd have wanted to try it, this is your push to go do it. You will not be disappointed.

Today was my first visit and I was not disappointed. I was like a little child when I saw the many options to choose from the menu. I will definitely recommend this establishment to all that enjoy Korean BBQ, noodles, rice, seafood, steak, and cooking it yourself at your table. Oh, and it's all that you can eat! I visited the 757 location in Newport News Virginia, right off Jefferson Ave. Try it. You will be glad you did. The staff is kind and patient. They guided me through the menu options, which are many.

the bbq table on our 1st table is not hot enough so they moved us to other table.
waiter is not attentive he's missing all the time
and forgot to put our meat
so we have to wait for him so long
just for him to put on order to the kitchen plus waiting the meat to be cook
restaurant is beautiful and spacious!
food is good.

Our family enjoys going out for hotpot, especially since our kids love it. As usual, my wife and I ordered our food while our kids went to the sauce and salad bar to grab some vegetables and fruits, which they always eat before the meal.
Toward the end of our meal (around 5 ish), I decided to have some grapes that looked yummy when our kids brought them. However, I was SHOCKED to discover several grapes covered with visible mold — and my kids had already eaten all of them! It appeared that the grapes hadn’t been properly washed or had been sitting out for too long. Upon closer inspection, I found even more moldy grapes, indicating that the fruit had likely been left out well beyond the recommended safe time.
According to food safety guidelines, self-serve bar items should be replaced at least every four hours to prevent bacterial growth. I immediately informed the manager (or possibly the host at the front), and he took the grapes to the kitchen — but unfortunately, that was the extent of the response. There was no apology, no expression of concern, and no reassurance that corrective actions would be taken.
This experience made me question the overall food handling practices at the bar area — and possibly in the kitchen as well. I had already refused some bok choy earlier because it still had sand on it and appeared not to have been washed properly. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and implements stronger food safety procedures and better customer service training. As a paying customer and a parent, I truly hope to see noticeable improvements in both food safety and professionalism.

Ambiance was clean and bright. It was our first experience and somewhat confusing because we didn’t understand we were going to be cooking our own food. The hot pot was a great idea, however it can get steamy. We chose pork, lamb and chicken. The raw pork and the lamb were fatty but they were very well seasoned. I had concerns of cross contamination with raw meats etc.. They do exchange the grill plate but the sides have meat residue. Our server was nice and explained the process. I wish I knew I would cooking I would have worn something different for you will definitely smell like food when you are done.
